I love Portuguese Cork

I design and handmake cork handbags from coloured metres of fabric I buy from a merchant in Portugal.

Cork is harvested in a steady cycle that promotes healthy growth to the tree over its expected lifespan of over 200 years making the process sustainable and eco friendly.

Typically, virgin cork is not removed from saplings until the 25th year, from then the tree is harvested every 9 years to allow for the regrowth of the bark, producing a naturally water resistant and durable material.

As you work across the menu  tabs at the top of the page you will find details of all the products I have for sale and how to buy them.

I only make a bag design as a one-off, I do not mass produce, but if you see something you really like that has been sold, I can make a bespoke bag for you.
